Setting Up Forwarding for Instant Direct Messages

I'm having problems setting this up with Gmail, because it is wanting to verify my boxcar email address that is it forwarding to.

Any thoughts?

I saw that Panda had posted this. which I followed; but it doesn't resolved the "verify" that Gmail wants to do.

*****Do not try to set this up in the 'Forwarding and POP/IMAP' section. This is done using filters.

The easiest, most painless method is to let Gmail do nearly all the work:
1- Go to a DM notice from Twitter
2- From the down arrow, choose 'filter messages like this'
3- The filter creation process begins, showing that it will filter something like this:
from:(twitter-dm-xxxxxxxxxx=gmail.com@postmaster.twitter.com)
4- Click 'Next Step'
5- Check 'Forward it to'
6- Enter your own unique address that is found in the boxcar app:
yyyyyy.yyyyyy@push.boxcar.io
7- Click 'Create Filter'
Done.
